The Galapagous Islands are 1000km off the coast of Ecuador in the Pacific ocean. The group of islands belong to Ecuador. To get there you need to fly from either Quito or Guayaquil. All the islands are protected.

they are west of ecuador by about 900 miles, in the pacific ocean, the islands are meant to have the most diverse lifeforms on the planet, id love to go there......
