2010 Holiday Recommendations? Looking for your holiday reviews..?

Currently looking for somewhere to go on Holiday at the end of June with my boyfriend, We are both 20 and roughly looking for:

- A relaxing holiday as a couple, with the option of things to do and see during the day (Excursions etc)
- Plenty of places to eat and drink in the evenings (Restaurants, Not lively clubs)
- Sandy Beach Near-by
- Guaranteed Sun !!!

Went to Las Americas in Tenerief a couple years ago and loved it, Looking for something a little less lively though as it is just the 2 of us this time.

Any reccommendations welcome..Please give me your holiday experiences!! Will be flying from Manchester, UK

Come to Cyprus. Protaras would be a great place for you to stay. Most of the hotels are situted along the shoreline of Fig Tree Bay, and Flamingo Bay.....some great beaches, and all are within easy walking distance of a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants; try The Olympus, Cafe Parko, Island Affair,and Il Basilico, to mention just a few.....and then, if you do want something just a little livelier, Agia Napa is just a short taxi trip/ bus ride away, and no, its not all lager louts and booze cruises!! There are plenty of bars and restaurants set well away from The Square where the main club scene is situated; Try Tony's Taverna, or The Corner restaurant, both situated on Nisi Avenue, or try Vassoss Fish Reataurant down in the harbour.



Just make sure when you book that you are situated in the main tourist strip of Protaras, along Fig Tree Bay, as some travel agents class Pernera as 'Protaras, when in fact it is acually a short drive away, and is a much quieter resort.



If you do come here, then just bring a small amount of Euros, and change the rest of your money when you get here, you will get a much better rate of exchange.

I live in Xylofagou,a short drive from 'Napa.

There are many places i could recommend to you!



How about Italy? You could get a cheap flight from the UK flying to Rome or Naples. I wouldn't recommend Milan as it is very lively up there!



New destinations such as Albania (which can be seen off the coast of Greece) are becoming more and more popular however it may be a bit more expensive as not may airlines fly there yet!



Fethiye in Turkey is another lovely place with a beach just a few miles away. There are plenty of lovely hotels and a marina which is nice to have a walk along at night! In Fethiye you will find more traditional Turkish restaurants and only a few night clubs as the livelier resorts are in the surrounding areas. Many airlines fly to Dalaman which is the main serving airport for Fethiye and flights are reasonably priced. I fly to Dalaman from Manchester and the average flight costs me around £180 return.



If you want to go places a bit further out how about the Maldives? Or the Caribbean! Maybe even a cruise aroud the Mediterranean?



Im sure if you went into your local travel agent they would advise you on some lovely destinations which will suit your needs!

You sound the same as my boyfriend and I! Love lively bars but not big on clubs and all night places!



We had a really good time in Crete last year. stayed in a place called Stallis which is lively but not clubby however there is a big party place in the next town along ( i cant remember what it is called now) the beaches were beautiful, food lovely people friendly and loads to do.

how about Malaysia. In Malaysia u can visit many places as Terengganu, Kuala Lumpur and others. here u can goes to Sabah to scuba diving in beatiful island.if u goes to Langkawi u can visit Pulau Tioman.there is a lot of beatiful fish.in Kedah,there is a paddy plant.U also can visit malacca as a history town.

Try the Philippines like in Davao, Boracay, Cebu, Boracay and many more islands to see!
