Is New York better than London? from a tourist perspective?

Depends what you are looking for from the experience. All cities have something to offer on different levels. London has more history, more historic buildings and palaces etc, however, New York probably better represents the 20th Century in terms of sights to see. Both are great cities and both are probably about the same cost wise - expensive!
